One of the more frequently asked questions that we get when people are shopping our online auctions is: What do these icons mean?
Today we’re going to break down these icons to help you get more information when shopping and bidding on items.
On a desktop computer or laptop, the share icon is right below the bid button:
If you’re on mobile, you’ll need to click on the down arrow to the right of the description to show the icon:
When you click on it, you can share a link with other people via text, email, etc.
Right below the lot number is the “Bid History” icon. Click on this to see all the bids that have been placed on a lot. To the far right is the user ID of each individual who submitted the bid. This will give you an idea of how many people you are competing with for that particular lot.
If you want to see a video of an item, click on this and it will take you to a video on YouTube. We usually post these videos for large equipment or vehicles.
The “Thumbs Up” icon displays how many people have liked that same lot.
We are currently working on a gaming feature for our site that will incorporate this icon. The idea is that the more you participate and engage with our site, the more points you’ll accumulate. We still need to iron out all the details of this feature, so stay tuned!
If you want to create a list of items to keep your eyes on, click on the eye icon to add it to your watchlist.
You’ll find the link to see your watchlist in the left sidebar of the auction page under the “Filters” section.
The icon that looks like a lightning bolt will show up for each lot when the event starts closing. You can use Thunderbid to catapult the bidding to the exact amount you enter and “shock” the competition.
With the help of these icons, we hope you’ll be able to navigate our site and find the perfect item for you. Be sure to keep an eye on our upcoming online auctions and remember to use the watchlist feature to keep track of your favorite items!
