San Diego Online Art Auction Featuring World Renowned Artists

As the world becomes increasingly digital, so too do the ways we buy and sell art. Online art auctions have emerged as a popular and convenient alternative to traditional auction houses, allowing collectors and art enthusiasts from around the world to bid on and purchase works from the comfort of their own homes.

We currently have a special San Diego online art auction that features San Diego-based artists as well as famous artists. From landscape paintings to abstract art to lithographs and prints, there’s artwork for every type of art collector.

Here are just a few pieces that caught our eye:

Salvador Dali, “Seventy-Two” Serigraph, No. 137/275 I. (Lot #10134)

This is a limited edition piece that was created because Dali was asked by Walt Disney to contribute to a project titled “Destiny”. It was a ballad about two lovers brought together by destiny.

Anton William Van Der Salm, “Old Windmill” (Lot #10005)

This painting represents the countryside where Anton lived in the Netherlands. It is oil on board and is presented in a gilt frame with a linen mat and brass name plaque. It is also accompanied by a certificate of appraisal dated 1994 valuing this piece at $1250.

Floyd Copeland Chandler (1920-1995), Seascape original oil on canvas (Lot #10027)

We have quite a few art pieces by this San Diego born artist. He was widely known for his landscape paintings featuring Western scenery. One of our favorites is this seascape painting.

Sue Tushingham Mcnary, San Diego Heritage (Lot #10169)

If you’ve been around the San Diego or Southern California art scene for some time, you’ve probably come across Sue’s artwork. The Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, CA is a favorite subject of hers, which is no surprise considering that she opened the Sue Tushingham-McNary Art Gallery in the Hotel Del.

Thomas Mangelsen, “Land of the Rising Sun” (Lot #10180)

If you love nature and wildlife photography, you’ll appreciate this limited edition print. This photo was taken at the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Thomas is a world-renowned photographer who is most famous for his photography of the wildlife in Yellowstone Park.

Masao Ido (1945-2016), “Garden View” (Lot #10301)

Masao Ido’s artistic style consisted of woodblock prints that encapsulated tranquility. He studied art in Kyoto, Japan, and his artwork has been exhibited worldwide including the Los Angeles Museum of Art.

This is just a small snippet of all the wonderful artwork in this San Diego online art auction that closes on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Pick up is at our warehouse and shipping is available via our partner, Pakmail La Jolla.
