It’s a New Year and we hope yours has started off on the right track! Just like most businesses, we’ve been thinking about how we want to enhance our services for clients/customers, improve as a business, and make changes for the better in 2016.
Please make note of these few changes we are implementing:
No more paper catalogs on preview days – In order to conserve paper and reduce our ecological footprint we will no longer offer paper catalogs when you attend a preview day. If you have a tablet or smartphone, we recommend bringing it so that you can check out the online catalog as you preview all the items. You can also print out the catalog ahead of time and bring it with you if that’s easier.
Removal days will now take place 2 days after an auction closes – Currently we have removal day(s) the next day after an auction closes, but now they will take place two days after closing day. We’ve found that this gives us more time to process and finalize the auction for all buyers.
Reminder: Remember to bring in the receipt that is emailed to you after an auction closes as that speeds up the removal process. This is especially helpful if you’ve won a long list of items.
Preview hours for the St. Vincent de Paul Specialty Auction – Typically there are two preview days during the weekday from 9 am – 4 pm, but we understand that many of you cannot attend, so we’re hoping to change preview hours from 11 am – 5:30 pm in order to accommodate those who work during the day. These hours are not set in stone yet, but we’ll update this post when we get word from SVDP.
UPDATE: Yes, hours for preview days are now 11 am – 5:30 pm. Hours for Saturday preview is 9 am – 3 pm.
