They say that time flies by when you’re having fun, and we’ve certainly been having fun. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been four years since Cal Auctions was launched. We started in a small warehouse in the suburbs of San Diego, and now we’ve grown into a large facility in the heart of San Diego with our own showroom for estate sales and a group of hardworking staff who enjoy putting together these online auctions for sellers and buyers.
It all started back in 2010 when Jason Hanks conducted his very first Internet auction with a company that needed to sell their IT and computer software. The results of that auction inspired Jason to launch Cal Auctions in 2011, which provided an innovative way to sell all types of assets.
In 2013 the Estate Sale division of the company was formed to help clients downsize or liquidate their high-end collectibles, art, and furniture. You may have stumbled on our sister site if you did a search for San Diego estate sales.
Nowadays Cal Auctions is busy helping clients throughout the Southern California region. We’ve also formed partnerships with other auction houses all over the country.
