Bidding Features You May Not Know About

Bid

If you’re unfamiliar with our online auctions, you may not be aware of all the different features that we offer to make bidding easier. Our goal is to make sure your experience is fun and hassle-free. In this blog post, we’ll cover a few bidding features that you may not know about.

Watch List

If you see something you like, you can add it to your watch list and bid from there. To do this you’ll click on the down arrow after the product description if you’re on the mobile version. On the desktop version, you’ll see a few icons at the bottom of the listing.

Eye icon

Simply click on the eye icon to add it to your watch list.

To view your watch list on mobile, just tap on the star at the bottom of the page to see all the items in every auction that you are watching.

If you’re on the desktop version, click on the “Watched items” link in the left sidebar of the auction catalog.

Max Bid

Don’t have time to sit in front of the computer? Enter a max bid so the system can bid on your behalf. This is the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an item.

Whenever someone outbids you, the system will automatically bid for you up to the maximum amount that you set. This is especially helpful if you’re the type of person who gets tempted to just keep bidding.

Item Closing Time

You can view the exact time your auction closes at least 12 hours before it closes. Remember that the closing times are staggered for all the items. Although we post that a particular auction starts closing at a certain time (for example, 6:07 PM PST), the item you are bidding on may close a little later based on where it is listed in the catalog.

Auction Closing Reminder

Have a hard time keeping up with all of the auctions you are participating in? Send a reminder to yourself an hour before the auction closes. You must be logged into your bidder account to access this feature.

In the top-right next to your name click on the three dots, to reveal a drop-down menu. Tap on the “Set auction reminder” and then choose if you want a reminder via text or email.
