Important Updates Regarding Our Online Auctions During COVID-19

COVID-19 Announcement to online auction customers

We hope you and your family are staying healthy and safe during this time!

If you haven’t visited our website lately, we’ve had to postpone many of our auctions due to COVID-19. This post outlines some of the changes to our policies that have occurred.

As COVID-19 continues to evolve, we want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to keep you safe while continuing to conduct business as usual. Our priority is the health and well-being of our customers and employees, so we thank you for being flexible and understanding.

Current Cal Auctions COVID-19 Policies

Auction Closing Days TBA

Our online auctions at this time will continue. Although there is a closing day posted for each auction, please note that these dates could be changed. If you are participating in an auction, please visit our website as it is being updated on a daily basis.

Inspections

Currently, all inspections by appointment only. A sign-up link will be at the top of each catalog. This limits the number of bidders allowed at one time at the inspection location. Bidders that show up without an appointment will not be allowed to enter.

We are taking measures at our facility to ensure surfaces are sanitized. We will also provide disposable gloves to anyone who requests them.

Facebook Live

We will be video streaming live during some of the inspections for bidders who want to ask questions about items. Please visit our Facebook page to view these live videos. We are also posting short videos with featured items on our YouTube page.

Removal of Items

In addition to inspections being by appointment only, all removals are also by appointment only. Again, this is to limit contact and adhere to the suggestion of “social distancing”. We have implemented a “touchless” removal process. You can now sign off for receipt of items via your own mobile device. We will also be preparing your items ahead of time so that they will be waiting for you at the door of the warehouse. Please remember you are responsible for the loading of all items.

Please see prevention tips below to help keep you and the people around you safe:

* Wash your hands thoroughly and regularly.

* Stay home if you’re sick.

* Use gloves when handling money.

* Utilize fist or elbow-bumping instead of handshakes and high-fives

We are taking this situation seriously and stand by ready to help!
